Congratulations on your 12 years and I too had a 3B NSCLC diagnosis in 1996 and was blown away by the news.  I also had chemo, heavy cocktail of three drugs, 3 times before they did the surgery and then more chemo and radiation.   I have had two recurrences and more chemo and much better radiation and just passed my last CT in August with everything "status quo". It is a wonderful and amazing thing and yet before I go for each scan the anxiety builds and then there is great relief. October will be 16 years for me and I wish everyone who is struggling with the thought of should I go for it or not, all the best since you need the will to survive and go for it.

Congrats to you Diane! 16 yrs is amazing! I have to admit anytime I have to go to the doc for anything my anxiety goes up a few notches but not as bad as those first couple of years. So everyone out there listen , it does get better. I know it doesn't seem at times like this will never end but keep your head up. It does require some real fortitude on tose bad days but you can beat this!

Again ,Diane nice going! Now I have a goal to reach for 16 yrs, awesome!

God bless, John
