swolllen feet after cisplatin

I finished my chemotherapy perhaps four weeks ago, but still had swollen feet and ankles, which I think showed up late in the treatment with cisplatin.  My primary care physician told me Friday (just yesterday) that my lungs sound great and the retained fluid is probably because the cisplatin irritated my kidneys. She prescribed lasix, which I started taking yesterday.

Does it take lasix a certain amount of time to show its effects?  I think maybe this morning the swelling did look somewhat reduced.   I've been walking the track at our rec center a little while every day, too, which I hope will help.
