Vietnam Vets with lung cancer - benefits are available from the VA through the Agent Orange program. These benefits include monthly compensation, free medical care and numerous state benefits. Survivor benefits are also available to spousal survivors of Vietnam Vets who passed away due to lung cancer.

I would be delighted to help anyone navigate the VA process to claim these benefits.

Amy,
I would be delighted to post a blog (never done that before) or any other thing you recommend to help vets. Would need some assistance from you on how to do this.
Thanks for all you and all the people at lung cancer alliance do.

Thanks Cecil. When I'm back in the office on Monday, I'll do some thinking about it and get back to you. I think you have such a wealth of knowledge that can be so helpful to Vets, writing a blog would be a great way to get it all in one place.

After having a lobectomy in July, and being totally clear I'm finally feeling better! I was surprised at how long the recovery is for this surgery. And the pain- UGH. But even though I'm a little sore and still can't lift, it's finally hitting me that NOW I have to figure out how my life and how it will be from now on. I'm limited physically because of my breathing, so my activity level is lower and my career is on hold. But when I start to feel down, I remind myself how lucky I am that I'm cancer free and hopefully will live a long life!
