It is with a very heavy heart that I write this post. As some of you know through my posts my father battled small cell lung cancer. He fought hard for nearly nine months but was unable to defeat this dreadful disease. He had a recurrence primarily in the liver in late november/early december and started on topotecan, unfortunately a brain mri showed 20 lesions in the brain requiring emergent brain radiation. Had cisplatin and etoposide, did really well, over a 80% reduction. Last treatment was in end of August.
