Congratulations on your 12 years and I too had a 3B NSCLC diagnosis in 1996 and was blown away by the news. I also had chemo, heavy cocktail of three drugs, 3 times before they did the surgery and then more chemo and radiation. I have had two recurrences and more chemo and much better radiation and just passed my last CT in August with everything "status quo". Hi Cancer is Back,I hope that in some small way I can help. I have had remissions and recurrences 3 times. Each time it is devastating and to be alone is simply awful but actually I drove myself back and forth for 30 days of radiation, 30 miles round trip and I did have a pity party sometimes but I also had some days where I felt great pride in what I was able to handle.
